So I notice this listing on Craigs list, for 'Software Help', figured I'd find out what kinda idiot would post this. Oooh, the idiocy was almost as good as Tri-Shitty Nissan..
Here's the posting (in part):
Software programmer
I am looking for a partner to share in my idea. I have program for a software program which a data base.
The program will need to network able, from single user multi-user to many users, base on paid rate, done in windows, and will have commercial and residential version.
The marketing is already in planned out, and a financial back is in place.
You can response to me with your email and we can chat.
So I send off an email, asking what it's all about.. what kinda skills..etc.. And the response was:
Hi there, tis could be a contract or partenership. Where are you located,
can you tell me a bit about your self and any programs that you have done.
I give him some info on me, my skills, references to a couple of open source projects I administer.. Tons of info, his response was:You are located Canton, ohio also, If that is correct I would like to meet you and discuss more detail about what I have and what you can do, The fact is that you can work part time is ok.
So I tell him that I'll need more information before I commit to a meeting, questions like is it embedded, WinCE, regular windows, any custom hardware some technical information. The response was, amusing:We can discus best if we meet be much faster, since I am not sure some of the questions
Apparantly this guy is an idiot, he 'claims' to be a software developer but has no clue what embedded systems are, what custom hardware is.. probably doesn't even know what WinCE is... sheesh.
I response with: I do not meet with prospective clients/partners without some idea of what is going to be developed. Good luck on your search. Which I think is very professional and to the point...response:Well I just wanted to meet since your were close, but since you are being secretive, then some is wrong,. No problem on the search I have several people interested.
Ohh, I just had to respond:When someone proposes to develop something, there should be a clear idea of what is being developed. Your craigslist posting claimed marketing already in place, which I find hard to believe when you cannot even give me a general idea of what is being developed. That and your apparent lack of knowledge in the field as evidenced by your admission "not being sure some of the questions", lead me to believe that your trying to run some sort of scam. In which case it would be a complete waste of my time to meet with you.
I will not bother with the rest, I had him in such a tissy that he started calling me a liar ("I bet your are not even in Ohio, just lie from you"), what a freaking moron.
